The following is the letter that has been submitted to our customers who purchased the SlabPuzzle and were expecting it to ship today:
Dear (client)
I wanted to reach out personally regarding the shipment of the SlabPuzzles, which I had intended to start sending out today. Unfortunately, I received some last-minute feedback that raised concerns about the overall honesty and reliability of the challenge itself.
It appears there are worries that I might intentionally make the puzzles impossible to solve by removing necessary pieces or altering them before shipping. I’m genuinely disappointed that what I envisioned as a fun and exciting opportunity has been misconstrued as an attempt to defraud participants.
That said, I want to assure you that all is not lost. I have implemented a solution, though it will require considerable time and effort on my part. Each puzzle will now be packaged in its own container while fully assembled. After sealing the container with tamper-proof labels, the SlabPuzzle will be shaken until all the pieces are loose and outside their intended slots. To further address any concerns, this entire process will be filmed to provide transparency regarding the legitimacy of the contest.
I sincerely apologize for any disappointment this situation may have caused. In light of this, and as a way to make things right for those who trusted in my efforts, I am offering you free entry when we roll the puzzles back out. It will take me approximately two weeks to complete this work. Your account is already flagged to receive the new puzzle at no charge upon its release. I will be processing refunds today and should have them all completed before 5PM CST. You should see a refund back to your original method of purchase in the next day or two. If you do not, please reach out to me and let me know.

Please make sure to read all the rules below very carefully before making your purchase.
SlabPuzzle® Rules: (09/09/24 updates)
- SlabPuzzles® are limited to a first run of 100 pieces.
- All SlabPuzzles® will ship out once 100 are sold or 14 days has passed from the date of the first sale.
- Participants will have seven (7) full days to complete the SlabPuzzle®.
- The seven (7) day counter will begin on the day tracking shows that the item was delivered and will end at 11:59PM CST on the seventh (7th) day. (see example)
- If tracking shows that your package arrived to you on September 20th, you will have until 11:59PM on September 27th to submit images of your completed puzzle.
- The first participant to submit a fully completed SlabPuzzle® will be considered the winner.
- Completed SlabPuzzles® must be submitted via email for time-stamp purposes. Once reviewed, participants will be required to mail their completed puzzle back to MaxWaxPax for final review. Upon review and confirmation, the winner will be shipped back their SlabPuzzle® plus the prized card.
- All SlabPuzzles® shipped back to MaxWaxPax for verification must be shipped using either UPS or Fed-Ex with signature required and must arrive no later than three (3) days after your email submission.
- Submitted SlabPuzzles® must be taped as shown in the accompanying video in order to avoid an pieces coming loose or otherwise being misplaced from the puzzle itself.
- Any SlabPuzzle® that is not submitted back properly for review will be disqualified without exception.
If we do not receive a completed SlabPuzzle® by the end of the seven days, the card will be placed up for auction and all proceeds will split three ways and donated to Tunnels to Towers, St. Judes, and the ASPCA. WE LOVE OUR VETS, OUR CHILDREN, AND OUR ANIMALS!
